In a strategic attempt to mobilise the grassroots effectively for the re -election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for second term, the Tinubu Project ‘27 Support Group has been officially inaugurated on Thursday, as part of intensified mobilisation efforts to win the 2027 General Elections.
The grassroots focused team was inaugurated by the Director -General, Grassroots Movement for Tinubu (GMT), Hon.Bisi Yusuf at the headquarters of the group in Ikeja.
At the ceremony, Tinubu Project ’27 Support Group led by Comrade Olusola Olawoore as Its National Coordinator, also endorsed President Tinuby for re – election.
Hon. Yusuf, welcoming the members of the group and guests to the GMT headquarters said that the mobilisation body as regards Tinubu’s re – election is in every part of the country galvanising grassroots support for the President.
“You’re welcome to the headquarters of the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu (GMT). The GMT has spread throughout Nigeria. We are in Delta, Ondo, Oyo, Ogun, Niger, Kaduna, Bauchi, and everywhere. We are everywhere preaching what Asiwaju has done.
The former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly emphasised that the opposition has no basis to campaign against Tinubu except to use propaganda and fake news which they have been using over the years.
He stressed that for the first time since the country’s independence, Nigeria is having a decisive and determined leader in Tinubu.
“This is the first time that we will see a president who is determined to be the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Right from 1960, nobody has ever run the affairs of this nation like Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he’s determined and not an accidental president.
“He has the capacity and an uncommon knowledge that he’s using to pilot the affairs of Nigeria. Go to Lekki Coastal Road and see one of the wonders of the Lord. Also, the Sokoto-Badagry Super Expressway. They signed a railway project from Lagos to Abuja which will only take you about 3 hours and not excluding NELFUND that allows your children to go to school without fear of money.”
Hon. Yusuf urged members of Tinubu Project ’27 to join hands with the GMT in communicating Tinubu’s achievements and spreading his agenda to the people.
“I have accommodated and accepted you as partners in progress and I must really thank you for this wonderful dress you gave me because all you’re doing is for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the only gift we can give him is to return him once more as our president come 2027 and believe that has been done by the grace of God.
“Mouth and noise can’t return him there, the only thing that can return him is our PVCs and you all should be an advocate of PVCs registration and collection, which is why I want you all to go out to preach and also mobilise.
“For ADC, they keep blaming Bola Tinubu for every issue because they have nothing to offer but we all have to concentrate on the coming election because we don’t have time again. Our gatherings as an organisation cannot win the election, rather, move to your constituency and canvass for votes. Our attires too cannot win the race but our PVCs,” he charged them
National Coordinator of the Tinubu Project 27’ Support Group, Hon. Olushola Olawore, in his remarks, thanked the GMT for the opportunity given to his group to be part of the national structure mobilising for Tinubu’s re – election.
He said that the Tinubu Project ’27, which was formed in 2025, is established in 31 states of the federation to mobilise for President Tinubu.
“We started this group last year because of our principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It’s unfortunate that some of our states are not here because as of today, we have presence in 31 states and in Lagos, we have our presence firmly in 75% of local government areas.
“We established the group to canvass vote for our principal so that come 2027, we will have a landmark result.
“We are letting people know what Asiwaju Tinubu is doing and the reason people need to come out and vote for him in 2027,” he said.
Olawore commended the Nasarawa State’s leader, Mama Jagaban for her efforts in mobilising people in the north for the re -election of President Tinubu.
Also at the inauguration were GMT chieftains and Tinubu Project 27’ Support Group delegates from Niger, Nassarawa, Zamfara, Imo, Benue, Ogun and Katsina States.
